I think *you* are his first favorite thing.

First favorite material possession, at least. Tennis balls. :)

I just want to bury my face in that fluffy fur and hug him!

I predict his second favorite thing will be someone’s shoe. :)

Oh, he is just too cute!

Might I suggest a Soft Bite Floppy Disc Frisbee for Mr. Greyson. Along with tennis balls, it’s been the universal favorite amongst all my girls. And it doesn’t have any hard plastic that might smart if it hits a sensitive place (on you or him). They are however a right pain to find sometimes, though SitStay.com almost always has them in stock listed under “Tail-Spin Flyer” I believe. Oh, also, they float.

Actually, we already have one :) (Kong makes one – and my husband picked it up.) He’s a little intimidated by it right now – though honestly, he’s intimidated by quite a lot of things, up to and including most squeaky toys, mirrors, and the television.

So we’re working on getting his confidence up, so he can play and run around the way he’d clearly *like* to … but is a little afraid to.

Kong makes a lot of fun stuff. My girls really love the Wubba. They make a fleece covered one that doesn’t squeak (Snugga) that I mostly force on my one shepherd because she is utterly the most obnoxious dog I’ve ever met with noisy toys. (I think her goal is to make me deaf.)

I imagine he’s still got a lot of adjusting yet to do. Puppies always do and shelter dogs even more. Sounds like you’re doing your part, though.

My heart just melted a little.
