Saw the ghost of Elvis on Union Avenue

Tonight! 7:30 p.m.! At Eagle Harbor Books on Bainbridge Island! Do come out and say hello, for I will be reading/chatting/signing with the fine folks over in that neck of the woods. Be aware – this is the last local/semi-local appearance of mine for the foreseeable future.
But as for the out-of-town appearances … they begin tomorrow, when I’m flying off to Memphis to begin a week+ tour. Memphis is as far east as I’m going on this trip, I’m afraid; but I do hope to find my way to the other coast next year, for shenanigans in cities I’ve largely missed thus far.
But for the immediate future, this is where you can catch me:
- November 12 – Memphis, TN. The Booksellers at Laurelwood (Davis-Kidd), 1:00 p.m.
- November 15 – St. Louis, MO. Left Bank Books, 7:00 p.m.
- November 16 – Denver, CO. Broadway Book Mall, 7:00 p.m.
- November 17 – Boise, ID. Rediscovered Books, 7:00 p.m.
And now, I do hope you’ll pardon me as I desperately pursue some day-job work, then some packing, and then some lunch, followed by more day-job work.
Like sands through the hourglass, yada yada yada …

Yay, looking forward to the book signing in Saint Louis!
One little suggestion – I know you’ll probably want to make a stop/take a peek at Union Station. Unfortunately Union Station is in a sad, sad way and is all hollowed out – the shell of something that was once was beautiful. Even five years back it used to have stores and places to eat but now it’s a Marriott and a food court and a parking lot.
If you have time for looking around, even a little, I highly recommend the City Museum – only a half mile from Union Station. It’s less a museum and more of an insane artistic playground that runs rampant through an entire building. There are parts of it that are more than a little steampunk.
Cheers!

I agree with Ariel. Go see the City Museum. It will blow your mind and make you believe in mankind again!

Not to whine, but are there plans for any visits to northern California? I didn’t see them on the itinerary. Many of us are devoted–and vocal–fans.

I wish I could’ve seen you in Memphis today! Too bad it’s a four hour drive from Huntsville… :P

Hello,
First to say thanks for writing such entertaining novels.
Next a question. I am fairly certain you probably have no power over this but I figured you might know who does.
I am very disappointed today to find out that Ganymede is not available in kindle format in the UK. This unfortunately appears to be a problem for several tor books. This is annoying as I am trying to limit my purchasing of dead tree books having recently aqquired a kindle.
I have got round the issue in this instance by telling amazon I was American for a few minutes so I could buy you book from the American kindle store but it would of been great if I could just purchase it without having to do this.
As I said earlier I would guess its not something you necessarily have a say over but I figured you should know (unless you already did)
thanks again for being a great author
Laura
