Sorry, can’t blog anything meaty right now. I’m scraping up an 80s-themed outfit for the DEBBIE GIBSON vs. TIFFANY extravaganza which is Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. It’s Richelle‘s fault. She’s the one hosting the screening.
Got my legwarmers and my oversized sweater. Now where the hell are my banana clippies and jelly bracelets …?

Tiffany has sass…but I think Debbie’s the one with more talent.
Of course, if I had my pick of rock bands it would have to be Duran Duran or Wham…for early 80s….for later stuff Bon Jovi, GunsnRoses or Def Leppard. I like some EDGE.
Best actor of the 80s? Umm…Rick(y) Shroder..he had me at rubber wrist bands.
Best tv show? Buck Rogers…totally. Like fur sure.

Having now checked that the film exists, I see in the cast list that Micky Dolenz — the Monkees drummer — is appearing as Micky Dolenz, the Monkees drummer.

I watched with my kids – the youngest went screaming out of the room from the (cheesy) gore.
My son declared the vfx horrible (he was rooting for Deborah because he’s attended her summer music program) and my eldest laughed at the low budget-ness of it all.
I thought it was fun and the big cat fight was a hoot and well worth seeing. I thought that having Deborah and Tiffany host was really fun.
Good times with bad cinema!
