Still alive. Met the deadline. Two more deadlines await on the other side of it, but they aren’t quite so urgent. Tomorrow I have stuff to do. Monday is going to be rough. But I’ve been offered (and am gratefully accepting) a little time-off from the day-job, so it is to be hoped that the next couple of weeks will give me some of the catching-up-time I so desperately need.
Here. Have some links.
- Tee shirts and caffeine – Fremont Coffee and Tea (where my husband is the roaster and co-owner) now has merch to keep you from being naked. April coupon codes for use in the online store: 10APRBEANS for 10% off coffee and 20APRSHIRT for 20% off t-shirts.
- Fremont Coffee and Tea on Twitter – If you like coffee and you like coupons well then have I got the Twitter feed for you.
- Making a difference one book at a time – Guys Lit Wire has teamed up with the Readergirlz, YALSA and If I Can Read, I Can Do Anything, (A national reading club for Native American children) for another book fair event to get books to students enrolled at Ojo Encino Day School and Alchesay High School. You can read more at the Readergirlz and the ALA about the massive effort to get books from publishers to multiple reservation school libraries across the country, but for GLW it is all about two wishlists for these two schools.
- Hey Tacoma – Incoming! I’ll be there on the 15th at Garfield Book Company (event starts at 7:00). (Side note: You can click that link to read an interview with yours truly in the Weekly Volcano. Come on out for reading, signing, and other assorted shenanigans. Oh yes. Shenanigans.
