For one, well, it's not the proper term and two, <a href="http://seeingeye.org" rel="nofollow">The Seeing Eye</a> actually has the term trademarked for their specific guide dogs. Without context I can't specifically correct the use, but probably, the ghoul is a "sighted guide." Er…I’d shy away from using the term “seeing eye” in your book, well actually at all.
