I’m not finished writing for the day (I can’t be, given my paltry numbers), but it’s been a few days since I made a proper post, and I feel compelled to rectify that. I’d been meaning to post pictures from Saturday’s jaunt to Deception Pass anyway, so here goes — a brief travelogue of my trip out of town with Caitlin and Kat.

I love how this next one looks like a map of a labyrinth, or something.
As you can see, I totally need longer arms if I’m going to try this sort of thing.

Longer arms, or a wider lens. The wider lens would be easier to come by. BTW, I love your pictures. You have a great eye for impact and composition. Thanks.
P.S. Puleeze post larger formats to flickr! I’d love to use them for desktop wallpaper.
Aw, thanks dude. But I’m just using a dinky little digital point and shoot; the pictures are saved at 800×600, but no larger. I’ve already deleted them from the card …
Ah, such is life. The bitter with the sweet. I can, and have, even earlier today, used smaller sized images. I’m just a glutton for high-res. And Cherry Garcia ice cream, but that’s another issue.
Ah – you probably drove right past my house (or close enough) to get to the Pass! Did you walk across the bridge? It’s too cool, isn’t it? We love the trees down there – the whole park is great.
Really? I didn’t know you were THAT close :) And yes, of course we walked the bridge — it was really lovely!
Oh hey! I was just there a week or so ago. Amazing bridge, and amazing pass. I really like the photo you got of the tree-labyrinth.
Yep – I live in Anacortes. I’m about ten minutes from the bridge.
The last time we went my husband refused to walk the bridge…for a pilot he’s oddly averse to heights. We saw some seals though and it was awesome.
I can’t imagine what it must be like to cross that thing in the wind though – we get some stories here in the winter and I bet it’s terrifying.
Thanks Kai! And Colleen, that’s cool. Yeah, we drove by Anacortes and I was all, “Lookit that cool old town!” Anyplace that leaves advertisements painted on the sides of buildings is all right with me. :)
