Just got the copyedits for BONESHAKER. They aren’t due for another couple of weeks, thank God. Yes, that’s an ordinary can of Diet Coke (with Splenda!) sitting in front of it, for size comparison.

I turned around to upload the Diet Coke picture and immediately heard a crinkling noise … for the kitty is IMPATIENT. She was using her head to try to shove the manuscript onto the floor, so that she could have the envelope all to herself.

For those of you who might be new to this page, Spain the Cat has a torrid love affair going on with all the envelopes Liz sends me. The rattier, bubblier, and crinklier the better. She hoards them and sleeps upon, and it’s both very weird and very cute.

    Anything new (and mostly flat) that we bring into the house and set down is immediately a new rersting place for our cat. I wonder what the reason for it all is? It is a mystery.
