Technical Difficulties

I’m having some trouble with my internet connection, and I only have sporadic access — so to anyone who’s been trying to reach me, please pardon the intermittent radio silence. This having been said, hellooo internet. Let’s see how long the wireless holds.
Today I got to meet the exceptionally charming Carolyn Turgeon and her friend Barb, who was likewise awesome. We spent several hours at Victrola, then wandered back to my place where I foisted books and beverages upon my visitors. Spain the Cat was also tickled by the Bonus! company; she’s still rather needy from having been all but abandoned for the better part of a week.*
I’ve known Carolyn online for several years now, and I was 100% delighted to meet her in person. She’s everything advertised, with added snark and gossip-lust, and I totally had a blast hanging with her and Barb for the afternoon.
:)
* Well, not really. But you know what I mean.

Heh… off topic, but where did you manage to get a cross gendered clone of MY cat… looks like if we set Spain and Thunder next to one another, the only way to tell the difference is a subtle facial scar or checking between their hind legs.

Heh. She seems to have many clones. We got her at the Pet Placement Center (a no kill shelter) in Red Bank, Tennessee, about six or seven years ago.

Ahhh… the one i live with is about a decade older and was found on a neighbor’s roof in Northwest Indiana.
He was less than a year old then and my then 2 year old niece took a shine to him.
My niece is now starting college.
Thunder is one of those cats who is sort of a confused bully… He only beats up critters larger than him.
for about 13 years of his life he has been 18 lbs of muscle and bone. Now he weighs the same, but is definitely chubby. Oh well, it helps make him too lazy to be mean to the dog.
