Maybe Tor will take the route that Bantam/Dell did recently with Karen Moning's Fever series. The first book is now available as a free serialized audiobook on Podiobooks.com. So when I first tried Podiobooks.com I really didn’t have high expectations. I have to admit I have been pleasantly surprised. Don’t get me wrong, there are some spectacularly bad novels on the site, but there some good ones as well. Since it is a donation model, it doesn’t cost any think to try out a new book/author.
