I opted to go cemetery-visiting with my hand-dandy little guide. Unfortunately, my handy-dandy little guide was written twelve years ago — and things have been paved, mowed, and trimmed since the author used trails and trees as landmarks to find graves.
Even so, I found almost everyone I was looking for; and I can always go back. So click the link below. You’ll find pictures of the final resting places of Seattle’s early pioneers, as well as the graves of Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee.
As an aside, there’s a bench that faces the grave of the Lees. I sat on it for a little bit and snapped my pictures; and I watched as a whole flock of enormous crows circled and hollered above me, and in the trees around me.
It was kind of a “moment,” you know?
Click the images for a bit of context/historical background about why these folks are noteworthy. Not all images are annotated; some are merely posted for decorative purposes. For more pictures of these subjects and others, see my Flickr page.
