New Year’s Resolution Status: Kept.

Hey, I almost blew it on the first day — so I feel like it’s worth remarking. Despite the fact that I’m (a). dead tired from much happy socializing and late-night revelry, (b). feeling a little sick from some crappy food acquired down on Broadway, and (c). midway through some edits for Those Who Went Remain There Still, I still squeezed in some composition time.

Progress upon the west coast steampunk Victoriana book with zombies, air ships, toxic gas clouds, mad scientists, dead folk heroes, secret criminal societies, and now Bonus! extended deleted scenes from the Civil War:

Present wordcount: 29,003
Goal for January: 40,000 words and a proper summary/outline/proposal
Things accomplished: Briar has officially landed inside the walled city … the hard way.
Reason for stopping: Dead tired. Headache. End of chapter. Crested 29,000 words, which may seem arbitrary, but there you go.
Next up: Peril, hardened criminals, softened criminals. 90% chance of scattered zombies.
