Well, since last I updated I (a). got married, (b). moved from Chattanooga, TN to Seattle, WA, and (c). got precious little writing done. You know how it is – big fat cross-country move with a screaming cat, getting settled, learning how to say “my husband” without feeling weird … it takes its toll on gentle creative souls like mine [:: snarf ::].
The truth is, I’ve been positively awful about updating this site and there’s no earthly excuse for it whatsoever – especially since the URL of this site is listed on the back of Four and Twenty Blackbirds. You’d think with motivation like that, I’d be better with maintenance, wouldn’t you? Alas.
So here’s the quickie update, to bring everyone up to speed: I’ve finished up a sequel to 4&20bb called Wings to the Kingdom, and this sequel will come out sometime late this summer or fall; I’ve started on a third book to wrap up the trilogy – called Not Flesh Nor Feathers, and progress is picking up speed on that one; and there’s a novella for the superlative Subterranean Press scheduled, tentatively titled The Wreck of the Mary Byrd. Not sure what the ETA is on that one, but I’m working on it now (in tandem with the 3rd Eden book).
If you’re interested in proper updates on a more-or-less regular basis, you’ll want to keep an eye on my LiveJournal, and just drop in here occasionally. I’ll try to be better about it, but right now I’m having a hard enough time keeping the LJ updated. This working at home thing facilitates my goofing-off tendencies like nobody’s business … and although LJ looks like an ideal time sink, my daily output of kitty pictures and bad movie reviews seems to be slacking off too. Must resolve to work on that.
So. To sum up.
1. More projects coming down the pipe soon.
2. Check my LJ for more consistent content.
3. Swing by here as you like, and I’ll try to be more faithful about my content production.
Right. Back to work for me, now.
